Published purpose

This project consists of objectives related to genetic improvement, the expansion of genetic capabilities and baseline health rankings among AquaBounty’s Atlantic salmon lines and leveraging advanced molecular and biotechnological tools in the continuous improvement of our stocks. Baseline environmental, genetic and genomic information collected as well as development of new genetic tools will enhance the development in AquaBounty Atlantic salmon. Owing to the strains and lines necessary to the creation of AquaBounty (AQB) commercial fish and the range of putative commercial products under consideration, our investigations here will be applied to both AquaBounty's production lines and conventional Atlantic salmon.
