Published purpose
The project consists of building and testing a single-tube reactor prototype capable of releasing fully-decarbonized high-temperature heat. This reactor, based on the controlled thermochemical oxidation and reduction of iron, operates in a similar way to a long-life battery, and allowing the storage and release of clean energy on demand. More specifically, the project will involve assembling the initial prototype from a complete design, followed with the calibration of this reactor against performance parameters and initial commercial use case assumptions.
