Published purpose
The project aims to add seat belt anchorage and other tensile testing applications such as bollards, bolts, pipes, rods, chains, slings, etc. to our ROPS test station. These new tensile test arrangements would be designed with a set of reusable adaptors and jigs to accommodate different test specimens. Battery Electric Vehicles that are being introduced to the market are heavier than their ICE counterparts. The increase in weight is causing OEMs to retest their existing CABS so that they can be recertified for higher vehicle weight ratings of BEVs. With this increase in demand for ROPS certification, we would like to be able to offer our customers the additional service of seatbelt and anchor point testing at the same time.
