Published purpose

Building on the success of the previous project that led to the design and development of an innovative indoor vertical farming system for the microgreens with highest space use efficiency, energy use efficiency (45X) with no free flowing water, no nutrient leaching and no wastage; and the development of a unique, and innovative “Zero-Touch” Production Technologies for various microgreens with zero-pesticides, zero-wastage, zero-contamination, zero-nutrient loss, this project will advance the Zero-Touch” Technologies to understand the phenotypic adaptations, discover the best Alternative Gelling Agents (AGAs), and to develop a plant health monitoring system using multispectral imaging technologies.
