Published purpose

Vision Automation has been collecting large amounts of data from the extrusion lines it built and put into service. Data ranges from operating temperatures of the machine zones, to scrap amounts per run, to material recipes, as well as other data parameters. A dashboard was created for real-time visualization per building (7buildings, 250lines); however, analysis and identifying potential correlations within the collected data has not be explored. Given the large amount of data (collected over 6 years), a means of mining the data and determining the potential correlations is needed in an effort to improve operating efficiencies, create automated machine calibrations, develop preemptive scheduling, and allow for predictive maintenance.
