Published purpose
The Texas Offsetting Emissions Pilot (TOE) pilot partner, Movability, and the City of Austin have requested adding the ridesharing component of the Carbon Cred emissions reduction platform. Ridesharing is additional work that was not part of the TOE pilot scope when company initially received IRAP funding. Ridesharing is essential for Texas because public/mass transportation is not adequate or sufficiently widespread for Austin's outlying residential areas. Therefore, to increase traction there is a need to increase the product offering to meet existing commuter demand.
