Published purpose
Phycus Biotechnologies will develop and validate a next generation fermentation process for the sustainable production of glycolic acid—replacing petrochemical methods with a lower-cost, renewable alternative. The project integrates microbial engineering, process modelling, and pilot-scale demonstration to achieve higher productivity, improved strain stability, and further reduction in costs of goods.
