Published purpose

This project will prepare OceanSync to enter the defence market with dual-use maritime domain awareness technology. The firm will assess the defence market opportunity for maritime surveillance data services, build knowledge of defence procurement processes including security clearances and controlled goods requirements, and conduct a technical gap analysis to align its commercial platform with Canadian Armed Forces needs. Activities include stakeholder engagement with defence end-users and procurement authorities, engagement of Canadian defence procurement advisors, and attendance at defence industry events. The project supports Canada's strategic priorities in Arctic sovereignty, critical maritime infrastructure protection, and all-domain situational awareness by preparing a Canadian company to deliver sovereign maritime surveillance capability in areas where coverage gaps exist.
