Published purpose
This project will assess the feasibility of integrating AI-based diagnostic tools using LoRaWAN communication protocols into existing Wi-Fi mesh networks, optimized for harsh Arctic conditions. The study will focus on developing and validating predictive diagnostic algorithms, hybrid network nodes, and real-time monitoring capabilities to improve network reliability, reduce downtime, and support critical infrastructure in remote regions. Field trials will be conducted in Inuvik, NT using existing infrastructure, with outcomes informing IP strategy and commercialization planning for Canadian and global markets.
