This project aims to strengthen civic and democratic space in Benin and Senegal for the benefit of all citizens, particularly women and people in vulnerable situations. Project activities include: (1) implementing public engagement strategies and delivering public campaigns on issues related to civic and democratic space; (2) identifying the training needs of civil society organizations (CSOs), journalists and human rights defenders (HRDs) regarding the methodologies and principles of gender-responsive human rights reporting, advocacy and communication techniques; and (3) providing CSOs with technical support related to gender-responsive security and protection.
