This project aims to strengthen trust between targeted communities in the Gabes, Medenine, and Tataouine Governorates and internal security forces. It does so to foster prevention and resilience to the country’s current and emerging security concerns. Project activities include: (1) providing training to internal security forces on community policing, and preventing violent extremism and sexual gender-based violence; (2) rehabilitating five new centers spaces, including two citizen centers and three specialized policing units; (3) organizing training sessions for specialized units on caring and providing support to women and children victims of violence; and (4) holding training sessions on governance, human rights, and interpersonal communications for officers in the citizen spaces.
