This project aims to enhance the capacity of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) to investigate incidents involving chemical weapons in Syria. It also seeks to support the initial planning phase for the modernization of the OPCW’s analytical laboratory. Project activities include: 1) contributing to the OPCW’s Special Trust Fund for missions in Syria, notably for the Fact-Finding Mission and Declaration Assessment teams; and 2) developing the statement of requirements for the modernized laboratory and the equipment storage space.
