The project focuses on reprogramming the UN SanctionsApp to make it more user-friendly. The UN SanctionsApp is an interactive, analytical tool available for free on mobile phone devices and the internet. It disseminates knowledge about the use and effectiveness of United Nations sanctions. The application, or app, can be used in real-time by policy practitioners, scholars, and members of the public interested in examining or understanding United Nations sanctions. It can also be used by those who are designing or implementing these sanctions. Project activities include: (1) implementing code enhancements to make the app more user-friendly; and (2) updating the app’s content, including a colour-coding system to indicate the scope of sanctions and their potential impact on the population.
