Objet publié
The project seeks to find evidence based solutions to problems of political, economic and social exclusion, to understand their links to conflict, and unblock political obstacles that are implementing these solutions. This project also aims to help institutions and countries meet the vision of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development by working closely with countries emerging from conflict and/or facing conflict risk, by seeking new government commitments. This project has two phases, the first phase consists of the following activities: (1) framework of policy solutions: developing a challenge paper that outlines priority areas of policy and programming engagement to address inequality and exclusion, based on the results of country-specific research and analysis developed under other project activities; (2) hosting a political-level retreat to discuss and consult on the challenge paper and plan for high-level events and an engagement strategy under phase II; and (3) policy brief and event on gender equality: completing a policy brief showing the evidence that investing in gender equality contributes to reducing overall inequality. This brief is the basis for a side-event at an upcoming meeting of the Commission on the Status of Women.
