This project aims to reduce the amount of female genital mutilation and number of child marriages that take place in Sudan. It also increases gender equality in communities. Project activities include: (1) holding community dialogues and community theatre events to allow girls, women, and communities to discuss and challenge harmful social and gender norms; (2) supporting youth movements in their efforts to end female genital mutilation and child marriage; (3) training midwives to prevent them from practicing female genital mutilation; and (4) supporting the implementation of the law banning female genital mutilation in Sudan.
