The overall aim of the International Center for Transitional Justice is to assist countries pursuing accountability for past mass atrocity or human rights abuse. The organization is working towards this goal through the following four measures: 1. Working with policymakers in governments, and regional and international organizations to improve their ability to make informed decisions on transitional justice processes. 2. Developing communication and action networks, which strengthen cross-regional and reciprocal exchanges of information, ideas, and expertise. 3. Poviding comprehensive education in transitional justice theories and methodologies and Fellowship programs in French and Arabic. 4. Creating and enhancing training materials to strengthen hands-on efforts of transitional justice practitioners and policymakers contributing directly to the long-term development in the field.
