This project aims to support the establishment of a regional training centre in Southern Africa, which seeks to strengthen the biosafety and biosecurity capacities of states in this region. It supports the Signature Initiative to Mitigate Biological Threats in Africa (SIMBA), a Canada-spearheaded collaboration between the G7-led Global Partnership Against the Spread of Weapons and Materials of Mass Destruction and the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention. Project activities include: performing renovation and construction work for the center.
