Published purpose

This funding will enhance CNIB Lake Joe's resiliency and expand programming year-round by: 1. Upgrading wall insulation from R-15 to R-28 for cabins, dining hall, kitchen, wellness centre, and recreation hall. 2. Topping up roof insulation from R-20 to R-40 in dining hall and kitchen. 3. Replacing electric baseboard heating with ground source heat pumps in cabins, dining hall, kitchen, wellness centre, welcome centre, and recreation hall. 4. Replacing T12 fixtures with LED fixtures in most buildings (appx. 70 with 2 lamps each), replacing exterior halogens with LEDs, and replacing welcome centre timer control switch with photosensor control. 5. Upgrading windows to triple glazing with Low E coating: U-0.25 & SHGC-0.24 for welcome centre, cabins, dining hall, kitchen, wellness centre, and recreation hall.
