"In October 2021, with a view to providing an alternative way of experiencing active transportation, we tested participation by the 50+ age group in the On Your Feet Challenge (OYFC). The results were very encouraging, and we now want to initiate an active transportation challenge primarily targeting the 50+ age group. Specific tools will be developed to help reach and educate them. The project will encourage people in the 50+ age group to try out active transportation through a challenge promoting active transportation as a way to counteract sedentary lifestyles and experiment with different technologies to assess the best way of prompting behaviour change in the 50+ age group.
