Published purpose

The purpose of the school is to provide opportunities for Edmonton's marginalized Indigenous and other urban youth, to earn a high school diploma, develop skills that can lead to employment, and prevent their return to a life on the street. The primary objective of the renovation is to reduce the utility costs associated with the building's operation. The renovation will be an example to the community, showing the benefits of energy conservation and using alternative energy sources. The sustainable benefits of the renovation will result in reduced energy costs to the ICDYA.
