Published purpose
The Village of Pemberton to Lil'wat Nation Friendship Trail: Pemberton Farm Road East Connector project is approximately 0.75 km of trail that will complete one of the final sections of the 7.2 km non-motorized Friendship Trail (scheduled for full completion in 2024). This trail is a joint initiative between the Village of Pemberton, Líl’wat Nation, and Squamish-Lillooet Regional District (SLRD), and is a critical link in the larger Sea to Sky Trail project (180 km multi-use trail linking Squamish to D’Arcy). The Friendship Trail provides a safe, delineated route for residents—including members from Mount Currie (Li´lwat Nation), children, and families—who largely rely on active transportation to access school, work, and other essential services. It will also provide visitors with an active way to experience the valley and explore businesses, events, and tourism offerings along the route.
