Published purpose

Tsartlip First Nation (Tsartlip) is applying for $50,000 to fund the development of an Active Transportation Network Plan (ATNP) and to support the feasibility design of an Active Transportation Hub (AT Hub). The intention of ATNP is to produce a community-wide map with prioritized segments to support future development of active transportation (AT) infrastructure on-reserve. The ATNP would also identify the current state of AT infrastructure, highlight safety issues, and note potential GHGe reductions as the network is developed. We would host community engagements to identify network gaps, destinations, and aspirations. Planning-level cost estimates for up to five priority corridors would be provided. Lastly, the ATNP look to enhance regional connectivity by considering Central Saanich’s Active Transportation Plan (2021).
