Published purpose
"This project involves the construction of a shared street on Gouin boulevard in the area of the historic village of Sault-au-Récollet. It will extend the shared street to the east and create permanent facilities. It will transform a portion of Gouin boulevard to make it even more popular with pedestrians and cyclists. Our hope is that the development of a shared, inclusive, pleasant, flowery and tree-lined space where pedestrians and cyclists can circulate in complete freedom and safety will give many the desire to abandon more polluting modes of transportation and get on their bikes and ride along Gouin boulevard, its bike path and its shared street."
