"The Municipality of the County of Kings is seeking funding for the development of a plan to address safety concerns around active transportation opportunities in North Kentville, specifically Meadowview. In July of 2021, Municipal Council accepted Active Kings County: An Active Transportation Plan for the County of Kings. This document highlighted priorities within this community, yet some gaps still exist. In April 2021, a bridge that is included within this corridor suffered significant fire damage. The Town of Kentville is rebuilding the bridge with insurance money and so it made sense to formalize the trail path as a response to resident concerns into action. The formalization and completion of a trail that offers recreational opportunities and connects communities are significant. "
