Published purpose

The applicant, The City of Burlington (ON) is seeking funding to construct a protected cycling facility along Prospect Street and Graham’s Lane. This corridor is a key part of the City’s spine network in the City’s Draft Cycling Plan. The spine network is defined as a network of connected facilities across Burlington that provides a higher order of protection for cyclists and is intended to be designed towards an all ages and abilities standard. This project would provide for protected cycling facilities along this corridor and improvements to the pedestrian environment. These new facilities and improvements are aligned with the City’s strategic directions: A City that Moves and A Healthy and Greener City.
