Published purpose
The Notre-Dame-des-Victoires project will create a safe, fun and educational environment for active travel around an elementary school. To achieve this, four sections of street bordering two parks near an elementary school will be completely closed to traffic for the installation of equipment supporting physical activity. The specifics of the project are as follows: (1) Demineralization of 1,550 m2 of asphalt, (2) addition of 250 m of universally accessible pedestrian pathways, (3) repair and improvement of the pathway lighting, (4) addition of bicycle racks, (5) replacement and addition of inclusive street furniture, and (6) planting of some 30 trees and plants.
