Published purpose

The project involves preparing a multipurpose trail development plan for the municipality of Saint-Luc-de-Vincennes to support the implementation of an active transportation network known to and used by residents. The municipality has an extensive network of existing trails that are seldom used, poorly developed or unknown to many residents. The development plan will serve as a basis for engagement, consultation and dialogue to identify needs, resources, problems and potential. A profile of the existing network is required along with an assessment of its infrastructure needs, which will ultimately lead to careful financial planning and estimation for the realization of this large-scale project. The creation of a network of multipurpose trails will make active transportation for available to local residents and tourists by promoting links to the downtown area and access to public transportation adapted for intermodal travel. Year-round use is a priority, along with multipurpose uses such as walking, biking, cross-country skiing or snowshoeing – non-motorized travel, with the exception of a few electric vehicles (bicycles, for example). Our municipality offers a self-service electric bicycle service.
