This project, a partnership between World Vision, Développement international Desjardins (DID) and Enablis, aims to improve the economic prosperity of youth, women and men, and vulnerable groups in Senegal by strengthening the management capacities of school institutions focusing on vocational training using a gender-sensitive approach. Improved delivery of employment skills programs enables the targeted population to meet labor market and entrepreneurial demands as well as foster linkages between educational institutions and the private sector through internship programs. The total number of direct beneficiaries is approximately 1,500 young people aged between 18 and 24 years who represent the most vulnerable age group facing unemployment problems. The project focuses on out-of-school and unemployed youth and those enrolled in technical and vocational training establishments (TVETs), paying particular attention to the inclusion of women and young people with disabilities. The project also aims to benefit 50 staff and 103 TVET educators through the capacity building of staff.
