This project aims to provide mediation support on an urgent basis in response to emerging crises in order to prevent conflicts from escalating, or in response to a window of opportunity in ongoing conflicts. This project supports the Center for Humanitarian Dialogue’s (HD) ability to undertake early-warning analysis, engage with existing networks and provide surge response. This project is designed to be responsive in nature; HD intervenes in situations where its expertise is most likely to have a beneficial impact. HD is a private diplomacy organization founded on the principles of humanity, impartiality, and independence. Its mission is to help prevent, mitigate and resolve armed conflict through dialogue and mediation.
