With GAC’s support, World Vision Canada is providing emergency water, sanitation, hygiene, nutrition and protection assistance for up to 118,306 conflict-affected people in South Sudan’s Upper Nile state. Project activities include: (1) supporting 9 water treatment systems and rehabilitating waterpoints in 10 targeted schools; (2) supporting community-based management of acute malnutrition; (3) providing messaging on Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) best practices to 28,181 pregnant and lactating women, 7,500 women of childbearing age and 5,500 men; and (4) reaching 12,000 women, men, boys and girls with gender-based violence services and referral information.
