This project aims to increase access to sufficient, safe, and nutritious food, and improve the health, economic well-being and social development of the underserved rural population of the Upper Manya Krobo district of Ghana. Beneficiaries are part of the three interventions (i) agriculture-nutrition education intervention (ANI) for households with infants that supported egg production (288 women-children dyads & families); (ii) savings-education intervention for adolescent girls that promoted financial literacy and healthy life choices (776 adolescents & families); (iii) behaviour change communication (BCC) radio intervention that promoted dietary diversity for young children (692 women with children < 5 y & families). Project activities also contribute to increasing the capacity of local institutions to formulate evidence-based policy, develop programs, and produce adult education materials. This project is implemented by McGill University in partnership with the University of Ghana.
