This project contributes to a more secure environment in North Africa by enhancing knowledge on small arms trafficking, armed violence, armed actors, and related measures and programmes. The purpose of the project is to undertake in-depth field research towards a study on small arms proliferation in the Libya, Chad, and Sudan triangle, and conduct a study on illicit arms flows in the region. Project activities include: (1) conducting research on illicit arms flows and proliferation; (2) writing, producing and printing 2; (2) conducting studies on illicit arms flows in the region; (3) translating studies into French or Arabic; and (4) disseminating findings among governments and stakeholders in the region.
