The project aims to promote local ownership, partnership and coordination in the design, implementation and steering of policies in Senegal in areas such as poverty reduction. The activities contribute to: (i) more clearly defining some of the challenges and identifying programming opportunities; (ii) providing support to local initiatives that are relevant to promoting sustainable development or poverty reduction; (iii) supporting capacity building initiatives in the public and private sectors; and (iv) promoting dialogue within civil society and between civil society and the government.
