With CIDA support, the ICRC focuses on addressing the needs of civilians affected by the civil unrest, armed violence and drought and on helping separated family members restore or maintain contact. The Syrian Arab Red Crescent receives support in reinforcing its operational capacities, notably in the fields of emergency response and first aid. Specific interventions includes the provision of food, water and sanitation, medical support, shelter and protection.
