Objet publié
February 2013 - In September and October 2012, heavy monsoon rains resulted in extensive flooding in Sindh and Balochistan provinces, Pakistan. At their height, the floods killed approximately 450 people, affected over 4.8 million others, damaged or destroyed over 407,000 houses and inundated over one million acres of standing crops. With Canada's support, the International Organization for Migration is providing emergency shelter materials and non-food relief items to up to 40,000 households (approximately 280,000 people) affected by the 2012 monsoon floods in Pakistan. Specific activities include the distribution of emergency shelter materials such as tents and plastic sheeting, as well as urgently needed non-food relief items, including blankets, to prepare families for the coming winter.
