The project aims to foster a greater understanding and an enduring commitment to the values of liberal-democratic governance, the rule of law, and public participation. It intends to do so by building a cadre of trainers and self-sustaining training programs on democratic principles to provide secondary and tertiary education institutions and their students, as well as government officials, with an understanding of their responsibilities and accountability in a system based on the rule of law and respect for civil liberties.
